I heard your interview with Robert Patrick Lewis on Far From Centered podcast today. I am awestruck and speechless. It touched me deeply as I have a son in the Marine Corps, and I know several Vietnam Veterans. The music is wonderful, as well as the film and book projects. I donated to your project with humbleness and gratefulness. Welcome home!
You are a blessing to us! We wish your son and your family all the best.
Stay in touch, OK? We’re sending you a CD as a thank you..
Marc, I served with 3rd Marines in Vietnam and have some Pictures to share. I would like to send a donation and if you would like me to send my pictures I will include them. Thank You, Steve Ford. Semper Fi.
Thanks, Paul. We are committed to telling one guy’s story, knowing that his was similar to thousands others. Really appreciate your feedback.
Hello “Hon. LCpl” Lea Jones, How you do
in. Just talked with Marc and he said to talk with you. Are there any 100 Yard Stare available? I need one for my Son. I am leaving for Ohio on 28Apr and sure need one. Thanks Willie
Hi Marc. Left a phone message, but I’d like to give more info on me in this comment. Served with Charlie Co., 1/1, from Oct 1968 through Sept. 1969. We spent a lot of time out in Dodge City and Go Now island during my tour. Saw your flicks of the kind of country we operated in and would love to see more of Operation Meade River and Operation Pipestone Canyon. Compared to those “stolen valor” idiots I have zilch. I was promoted to Lance Corporal two months before I rotated (so in my dress blues I have no trouser stripes, a belt buckle without the Marine Corps Emblem, and certainly not NCO sword). However, upon leaving they awarded me an “at-a-boy” (Navy Achievement Medal with combat “V”) for showing up and smiling through. Five of my buddies are on the Wall and three of my buddies were severely wounded, BUT I have no Purple Heart! The two awards I am most proud of are the Combat Action Ribbon and the Presidential Unit Citation for Operation Meade River.
